In Hellraiser koopt Frank Cotton een bizarre puzzelbox. Degene die de puzzel oplost krijgt onbegrensd genot... maar ook onbegrensd leed. Van Frank werd niets meer vernomen. Jaren later gaan Franks broer Larry en diens vrouw Julia in het oude familiehuis wonen. Niet veel later weet Frank uit de hel te ontsnappen en komt terug tot leven in het oude huis, maar heeft mensenbloed nodig om weer volledig mens te kunnen worden. Dan weet hij Julia te overtuigen om hem te helpen.

Storyline

Clive Barker's feature directing debut graphically depicts the tale of a man and wife who move into an old house and discover a hideous creature - the man's half-brother, who is also the woman's former lover - hiding upstairs. Having lost his earthly body to a trio of S&M demons, the Cenobites, he is brought back into existence by a drop of blood on the floor. He soon forces his former mistress to bring him his necessary human sacrifices to complete his body... but the Cenobites won't be happy about this.

Kirsty Cotton komt, na haar overwinning op de demonen uit de hel, terecht in een psychisch instituut. Deze wordt geleid door doktor Philip Channard; hij is zelf erg geinteresseerd in The Lament Configuration. Met deze puzzelbox kan je de poorten naar de hel openen. Zijn hebzucht, en Kirsty haar zoektocht naar haar vader, brengt beide in de hel. En terwijl Channard te zien krijgt waar hij al jaren naar heeft gezocht, wordt Kirsty geconfronteerd met een groepje oude bekenden.

Storyline

Doctor Channard is sent a new patient, a girl warning of the terrible creatures that have destroyed her family, Cenobites who offer the most intense sensations of pleasure and pain. But Channard has been searching for the doorway to Hell for years, and Kirsty must follow him to save her father and witness the power struggles among the newly damned.

Cenobite Pinhead zit gevangen in een demonisch beeld. Als J.P. Monroe, de jonge eigenaar van een populaire nachtclub, het beeld koopt en per ongeluk bloed morst over het beeld, komt hij echter weer tot leven. Pinhead sluit een deal met J.P., die hem zoveel mogelijk slachtoffers moet brengen, zodat hij zich weer vrijuit kan bewegen. Journaliste Joey Summerskill is vervolgens aangewezen om, samen met Elliot Spencer (de man die Pinhead vroeger was), Pinhead en z'n nieuwe groep van Cenobites te stoppen.

Storyline

Pinhead is stuck in a block after the Big Confrontation in "Hellbound," The block containing Pinhead and the puzzle cube is bought by a young playboy as sculpture. Pinhead busies himself escaping by getting the playboy to lure victims to his presence so he can use their blood. Once free, he seeks to destroy the puzzle cube so he need never return to Hell, but a female reporter is investigating the grisly murders and stands in his way.
