The Winter Swimmers are a band founded in 1979.

Kostas Vomvolos (accordion, qanun)
Michael Siganidis (bass, mandolin, vocals)
Oriole Florida (saxophone, clarinet)
Kostas Sideris (guitar, tzuras, voice)
Takmatzoglou George (guitar, vocals)
Isidore Papadamou (bouzouki, tzuras, vocals). Left in 1997
Dimitris Polyzoidis (violin). Today he lives in Austria.
Haris Papadopoulos (bouzouki). Member of the band since 1997
The Winter Swimmers, although basically a six-member band, they have several major and regional partners: the uncle Stavros Karamaniola, author of songs and poems by Kazaviti Thassos (b. 1911), Dionysius Russo, handyman and restorer of antiques from Peristeri, Akis Abastado, the Rocks, choir elders of Thessaloniki, Florina Band and many others.
In December 2005, after 8 years, they released 'The Mastorantza of Erntempil "a collection of 14 historical songs of E. Zachos Papazachariou. The mastery of the newer Balkans E.Zachou together with musicians communication codes of the Winter Swimmers compose a musical journey tracing what unites people rather than divides them. The collection that won the award for best band for the art song in 5th Awarding Arion Music Awards 5 (Athens Concert Hall, 28 March 2006). Have collaborated in concerts and songwriter Thanassis Gaifilias.
In 2009 released the latest collection of Winter Swimmers titled "23 Red Lights."
