Hindemith - P Con - Celibidache, Puchelt, Berlin SO (1949) [Philidor; FLAC]

Hindemith's Piano Concerto is a curious hybrid, partaking both of his earlier, acerbic style, and the introspective, more consonant later works. The sound isn't especially good--again, Celibidache forbade recordings, studio or live, throughout most of his career, so it was all managed by pirates on early tapes that have long since lost some of their high frequencies--but the performance crackles with energy.
