Now, with a full Brody-free season (well, other than that bizarre and brief return during one of Carrie's "crazy" moments) under its belt, the Showtime drama is back with another soft reboot, a two-year time jump, and an updated geopolitical climate to explore. Most notably of course is that Carrie is no long with the CIA, instead working as as a security consultant for a millionaire, Otto Düring (Sebastian Koch). Still, the core engine of Homeland is here: Carrie was quickly joined in Berlin, Germany, by Saul (Mandy Patinkin), whose sketchy plan to regain control of the CIA apparently flamed out, leaving him to settle for the European section chief post, and Quinn (Rupert Friend), who has spent the last two years running operations throughout the Middle East and seemingly had no problem working through a kill list for Saul.
