Season 2, Episode 05 - Essex

Charlie Luxton visits the Discovery Coast of Essex. He starts at the quayside in Maldon on a beautifully preserved Thames barge. His first port of call is a small wooden shack that’s been converted into a beautiful two-bedroom seaside home. He also visits a clever development with swathes of glass and recessed balconies with great estuary views. On Mersea Island, he finds a remarkable converted bungalow. There’s also an art deco refurb on the seafront; an opulent apartment; and a detached Victorian villa in Leigh-on-Sea.
