TRAMA:

I ragazzini di Goon Docks - tutti li chiamano i "Goonies" - sono in allarme: i maggiorenti del locale club del golf hanno dato lo sfratto ai loro genitori, volendo radere al suolo l'intero quartiere. Durante l'ultimo e un po' malinconico week-end sul posto, uno dei ragazzi scopre nella propria soffitta una antica mappa spagnola, che fu di Willy l'Orbo, un pirata del XVII secolo. Lui e i suoi amici decidono così di trovare ad ogni costo il tesoro che l'Orbo ha seppellito da qualche parte nei dintorni. Così la piccola banda si mette in caccia, penetra in uno châlet che d'estate è adibito a bar e scende nel sottosuolo. Purtroppo, il luogo è anche la base operativa di una losca famiglia composta da Mamma Fratelli e dai due suoi figli, i quali hanno incatenato nella cantina il deforme Sloth, terzo membro della casata. I sette piccoli Goonies dovranno affrontare paure e prove terribili, incontrando pipistrelli e trabocchetti, scivolando in torrenti che sono dei veri "toboga", sempre insidiati e inseguiti dai perfidi Fratelli. Uno dei ragazzi riesce a liberare il gigantesco Sloth e a fare lega con lui. Ma nei sotterranei li attende ancora una mirabolante sorpresa...

STORYLINE:

Mikey Walsh and Brandon Walsh are brothers whose family is preparing to move because developers want to build a golf course in the place of their neighborhood -- unless enough money is raised to stop the construction of the golf course, and that's quite doubtful. But when Mikey stumbles upon a treasure map of the famed "One-Eyed" Willy's hidden fortune, Mikey, Brandon, and their friends Lawrence "Chunk" Cohen, Clark "Mouth" Devereaux, Andrea "Andy" Carmichael, Stefanie "Stef" Steinbrenner, and Richard "Data" Wang, calling themselves The Goonies, set out on a quest to find the treasure in hopes of saving their neighborhood. The treasure is in a cavern, but the entrance to the cavern is under the house of evil thief Mama Fratelli and her sons Jake Fratelli, Francis Fratelli, and the severely disfigured Lotney "Sloth" Fratelli. Sloth befriends the Goonies and decides to help them.
