A BBC Radio science fiction serial written by Charles Chilton which ran for two years, a sequel to the 1950s serial 'Journey Into Space'.



The story takes place in the far flung future of 2010 when manned trips to the moon are routine. Captain Saxon Berry is traveling there to assume command of the new spaceship, 'Space Force' for a pioneering journey to Jupiter on a clandestine mission...



The series was initially to have been a continuation of Journey into Space, using the cast who'd just made a one-off revival of that series, The Return from Mars. This idea was dropped late in the day, and the four characters are noticeably renamed versions of the Journey into Space quartet, while Henson's character Chipper is stated to be the grandson of Lemmy from Journey into Space.
