RAW Developer gives photographers complete control over their digital images and provides flexible, fast and easy to use batch processing. All image editing operations are entirely non-destructive and never modify your original RAW images. All image processing operations are performed at 16 bits/channel or higher bit depth for maximum image fidelity. RAW Developer offers many advanced features to enable you to achieve outstanding image quality from your digital camera. Some of the features included are: • High quality image conversion (demosaicing) algorithms • Fully color managed processing pipeline which is completely user configurable enabling accurate, high quality color rendering and advanced support for use of high quality camera specific ICC profiles. • Numerous white balance options including dropper cursor tool and 8 user customizable presets • CIELab Lightness channel based unsharp mask sharpening • Advanced CIELab based noise reduction • Flexible tone curve adjustments, including individual color channels and CIELab based curves. • High quality image resizing options based on Lanczos scaling • Flexible image rotation and orientation, including straighten tool • Multiple monochrome ("black & white") conversion options including RGB channel mixers and custom CIELab based duotones. • Completely non-destructive image processing • Fast, High Quality Image Previews • High Quality Image Processing, 16 bits/channel (48bit RGB) or for some operations 32 bits per/channel high dynamic range floating point • Easy, flexible batch conversion • Advanced Sharpening and Noise Reduction Algorithms • Image File and EXIF Information Window • Flexible Monochrome (Black And White) Conversion Options • Extensive Image Adjustment Options • ICC Color Management Support through ColorSync • Support for EXIF Meta Data • Multithreaded and Velocity Engine (AltiVec) (or SSE) optimized Iridient Digital - Iridient Developer WHAT'S NEW Version 2.3: New Features: • Lens disortion correction based on RAW image metadata for Canon PowerShot models including the S90, S95, S100, S110, S120, SX50 HS, G1X, G15 and G16. • Chromatic aberration and vignetting correction based on RAW image metadata for Canon PowerShot models including the S110, S120, SX50 HS, G15 and G16. • Vignetting correction based on RAW image metadata for most all Canon EOS camera models since 2008 including 50D, 5D-II, 500D/T1i/KissX3, 7D, 1D-IV, 550D/T2i/KissX4, 60D, 1100D/T3/ KissX50, 600D/T3i/KissX5, 1D-X, 5D-III, 60Da, 1D-C, 650D/T4i/KissX6i, M, 6D, 700D/T5i/KissX7i, 100D/SL1/KissX7 and 70D. • Chromatic aberration and distortion correction based on RAW image metadata for most all Canon EOS camera models since 2009 including the 7D, 1D-IV, 550D/T2i/KissX4, 60D, 1100D/T3/KissX50, 600D/T3i/KissX5, 1D-X, 5D-III, 60Da, 1D-C, 650D/T4i/KissX6i, M, 6D, 700D/T5i/KissX7i, 100D/SL1/KissX7 and 70D. • Automatic lens distortion, chromatic aberration and distortion correction based on RAW image metadata for most all Sony cameras released since 2011 including the A65, A77, NEX-7, NEX-5N, A57, NEX-F3, A37, RX100, NEX-5R, RX1, A99, NEX-6, A58, NEX-3N, RX100M2, RX1R, NEX-5T and ILCE-3000. • Chromatic aberration correction based on RAW image metadata for most all recent Fujifilm cameras. • Chromatic aberration correction based on RAW image metadata for the Olympus E-M1. • Ability to apply RAW metadata based chromatic aberration correction independently of lens distortion correction. Previously enabling chromatic aberration would force distortion correction as well. • Support added for RAW images from the Canon PowerShot S120 and G16. • Support added for RAW images from the Nikon P7800. • Support added for RAW images from the Olympus OM-D E-M1. • Support added for RAW images from the Sony NEX-5T and ILCE-3000. • Support added for RAW images from the Fujifilm X-A1. • Support added for RAW images from the Samsung Galaxy NX. Improvements: • Greatly improved automatic chromatic aberration correction. • Improved image quality and processing speed when using lens distortion and chromatic aberration corrections. • Improved RAW image processing for Sigma cameras. Greatly reduces magenta color noise especially in deep shadows. Greatly improves handling of some super saturated colors like pinks and bright reds. Decreases speckle type noise. Improves deep shadow gradations and noise levels. And finally in many cases now has even faster processing speeds! • Enabled automatic lens corrections in the default settings for many recent Canon, Olympus, Sony and Fujifilm models that now feature support for native RAW lens correction metatdata. • New default camera profiles and settings for Nikon D600, D800 and D800E. • New camera defaults for most Sigma models. Bug Fixes: • Fixed bug where some image file types (Fujifilm RAF and JPEG) with lower case file extensions would not be recognized and the images would be ignored when selected for batch processing. • Batch settings options for embedding EXIF and XMP metadata for PNG images were not being properly enabled when choosing the PNG format. • Fixed bug with highlight recovery with some Sigma RAW images (mostly SD14 files) where extreme highlight areas would have strong magenta tint or poor results when using highlight recovery. • Fixed bug with older (pre Merrill) Sigma RAW images where some super saturated colors, especially deep reds, could result in loss of color altogether or unnatural results. • Fixed ISO gain adjustment for recent Canon PowerShot models at ISO 12800. • Fixed issue where DNG converted images from some Fujifilm EXR sensor based models could cause crashes on load.
