J S Bach - 6 Partitas - Anatoly Vedernikov, piano [flac]

The Russian pianist, Anatoly (Tolia) Vedernikov, was a pupil of Nehaus and became a great friend of Sviatoslav Richter

when he arrived in Moscow in 1937. They played together often: Bach's Concerti, Concerto Pathétique of Liszt, the 2nd

Suite of Sergei Rachmaninov and Béla Bartók's Sonata to name just a few.

His career did not develop outstide the Soviet Union, but he is considered a great performer of Bach, Chopin, Debussy

and music of the 20th Century.



Here he is playing J S Bach in a recording of the 6 Partitas which were recorded in the late 1960s/early 1970s.
