'The X Factor' winner James Arthur has released his first single 'Impossible' and it's already at the top of the downloads charts.
Having been a working musician for the last ten years,
it was no surprise when James wowed the judges and the audience during his first X Factor audition,
when he put his own spin on Tulisa’s hit single Young. James ran away from home when he was young
and said music was his coping mechanism. He’s since sailed through to become one of the public’s favourites.
James says: “I will bring versatility, passion and raw emotion to the competition.”
James, 23, decided to audition for this year’s show at the last minute as his friend told him he had nothing
to lose...and now he’s in the Live Shows! James lives in Saltburn and has been gigging in his local area for
the last few years. He writes his own songs, raps and plays guitar. He puts clever twists on the songs he does
and at the Judges Audition in Newcastle he sang and rapped his own version of Tulisa's Young - and she
(and the other Judges) loved it.
He has sailed into the Live Shows after outstanding performances at Bootcamp and Judges Houses singing
I Can’t Make You Love Me by Bonnie Raitt. James's main passion in life
is music and he admits that it has helped him deal with some tough experiences in his life including his parents
break-up.
