Post-hardcore band Jamie’s Elsewhere was formed in 2005, and released their first album in 2008 called Guidebook for Sinners and Turned Saints. Since then, they released a second album and it has now been confirmed that they are releasing they’re third work called Rebel-Revive. The current single from Jamie’s Elsewhere is called “The Illusionist.” It features artist Tyler Carter, formerly from the band Woe is Me, now of Issues. The song’s got a great melody and an awesome beat. I think you all should give it a listen, and maybe check out some of their other stuff. I just recently found out about them and they’re pretty cool. The vocals are really smooth. I know a lot of people see post-hardcore and get intimidated because they think it’s going to be a band with overpowering screamo vocals, but it’s really not. It’s a pretty relaxed song, reminds me of the musical style of the band Art of Dying (You should check them out also). Rebel-Revive is expected to drop April 8, and I’m thinking it’s worth investing the time to listen to these guys, because they sound pretty good from what I’ve heard so far.
