Created by crime novelist author Antonia Fraser, Jemima Shore is TV's consummately professional investigative

journalist and the basis of two television series. The first aired in the UK in 1978 as part of the "Armchair

Thriller" series and featuring the novel "Quiet as a Nun" with Maria Aitken in the lead role. This second

version called Jemima Shore Investigates was made in to a twelve part series in

1983 and produced by Thames Television, starring Patricia Hodge as the eponymous Miss Shore. Unfortunatly the two part

opener based on Fraser's "Splash Of Red" novel is currently unavailable due to rights issues.

Synopsis: Out of the blue Jemima finds herself going out to dinner with Nicky Karidas, the handsome son of a Greek

shipping tycoon. However she soon gets side tracked into an investigation looking into the mysterious death of Gerry

Westrop, her father's Agitant. His wife who believes he was murdered and wants Jemima's help but could these two

incidents be linked?
