Created by crime novelist author Antonia Fraser, Jemima Shore is TV's consummately professional investigative journalist and the basis of two television series. The first aired in the UK in 1978 as part of the "Armchair Thriller" series and featuring the novel "Quiet as a Nun" with Maria Aitken in the lead role. This second version called Jemima Shore Investigates was made in to a twelve part series in 1983 and produced by Thames Television, starring Patricia Hodge as the eponymous Miss Shore. Unfortunatly the two part opener based on Fraser's "Splash Of Red" novel is currently unavailable due to rights issues.



Synopsis: Jemima's former boyfriend Tom Amyas MP tips her off about a possible story involving a delicate security matter. A mysterious "Colonel Curtis" has information on Richard Claranden, a Foreign Office manderin who's girlfriend model Mary Bernard recently committed suicide which Curtis claims is murder.
