there are different quality telecines. they just hook up a video camera to a device that records the movie as it plays. it has been used for years, and still is, to transfer old 8/16mm home movies. it can give a really good picture, or it can give a picture like this. it depends on the quality of the recording hardware. This is a weak telecine. but you can see that the entire movie is in focus and the contrast is much better than a regular cam. Watchable but i would wait for a better copy. Cheers to the uploader though. Perhaps next time try a hd camera for the recording.
