ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jonathan Swift was born on November 30, 1667 in Dublin, Ireland and was an author, clergyman and satirist. His father was also an attorney but died before he was born and brought up under the care of his uncle. He received a bachelor's degree from Trinity College and then worked as a statesman's assistant. Eventually, he became dean of St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin. Most of his writings were published under pseudonyms. He best remembered for his 1726 book Gulliver's Travels.

David Hyde Pierce was born April 3, 1959 is an American actor and comedian.
Pierce is known for playing the psychiatrist Dr. Niles Crane on the NBC sitcom Frasier, for which he won four Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series during the show's run.
