'A fat matador with flat feet' is how Justin Lee Collins refers to his dancing style. So how on earth is he going to turn himself into a ballroom dancer in just 10 weeks?



'JLC Is...' will be a roller coaster of an adventure, following the antics of man who’s not afraid to give anything a try.



The man may be a fighter but it won't help when you need bags of elegance, suave sophistication and a streamlined body. JLC is the first to admit he possesses none of these qualities, but he has a secret weapon.



It's 'Strictly Come Dancing's' top-notch dance tutor, Karen Hardy. Oh, and a wife who is a pro on the dance floor. Ok, so this may have applied when she won dancing competitions aged 11 but the talent still lives, right?



Either way it's up to him to get it right on the night, and that night is looming fast. He will compete in the fiercely contested, world-famous San Francisco Dance Championships.



At Karen's celebrity-studded studio launch party he networks like a demon. Rubbing shoulders with Brendan Cole, Matthew Cutler and Christine Bleakley he formulates a plan. He will take the matador dance to the limit, he will whirl the waltz like never before…but if he fudges the foxtrot that's it. Game over.



Then there's the delicate issue of JLC's fine, bushy, carefully cultivated beard. Like Samson from the bible, JLC's whiskers are a symbol of his masculinity and strength, but the strict San Francisco judges will penalize him if he's not clean-shaven. Wedging himself into skintight trousers does nothing for his form or his ego, and it doesn't help that teacher, Karen is obviously concerned.



The intense rehearsal schedule is not working - JLC is actually putting on weight. Panicked, he hits the gym. There is gradual progress in the dance studio as he starts to grasp the steps.



But how will the man with two left feet fare in the gold cup competition when he hits America? Watch the show to find out...
