The drum & bass label Critical Music was originally launched back in 2002 by Kasra from his parents front room. It's since gone on to become one of the most prolific labels to emerge from the genre in recent years. Critical Music is known for it's forward thinking take on the genre as well as nurturing new talent and releasing the freshest beats and breaks.

This "takeover" set in Mixmag's DJ Lab brings together Ivy Lab and Kasra himself followed by Foreign Concept to represent Critical Music label.
Ivy Lab is the group formed in 2012 by three of the scene's finest: Sabre, Stray and Halogenix. The first 44 minutes of this set belongs to them and they are doing one fine opening. Then Kasra takes over for labels main act and Foreign Concept is closing up with his vivid yet original & melodic drum & bass vibes. Let's not forget to mention MC GQ who has been at the top of his game for more than 15 years and has performed alongside Fabio, Grooverider, Mickey Finn and Randall to name just a few. He's also the label boss of the Emcee Recordings and he is the one free-styling from the beginning to the end of this show.
