Kathryn Fox’s Anya Crichton series comes to us from the Land Down Under. Kathryn Fox is hailed as Australia’s version of Patricia Cornwell and Kathy Reichs and some critics say that she is even better. The character Anya Crichton is a forensic pathologist and a forensic physician. The forensic physician is unique to Australia, which is a physician that specializes in identifying wounds and injuries that are related to a crime in a living person, and Fox is trained as a forensic physician specializing in rape victims which is reflected in her character, Anya Crichton. So like Kathy Reichs, Fox brings her experience and knowledge to a fictional setting.
