La storia infinita è un film fantastico del 1984 diretto dal regista Wolfgang Petersen
ispirato al libro romanzo omonimo di Michael Ende.

The NeverEnding Story (German: Die unendliche Geschichte) is a 1984 German and American
epic fantasy film based on the novel of the same name written by Michael Ende.
The film was directed and co-written by Wolfgang Petersen and starred Barret Oliver,
Noah Hathaway and Tami Stronach. At the time of its release, it was the most expensive film
produced outside of the USA or the USSR.





TRAMA

Bastian, saluta il padre prima di andare a scuola, sottolineando il fatto che questi
da quando è morta la mamma non si accorge più di lui. Per strada incontra tre bulli
che iniziano a prenderlo in giro, lo inseguono fino a farlo cadere in un bidone dell'immondizia.
Bastian pensando che se ne siano andati esce dal bidone, ma i tre sono ancora lì ad aspettarlo,
inizia quindi a scappare, ed entra nella prima porta che gli capita.

PLOT

Bastian Bux (Barret Oliver), a quiet boy who loves to read, is accosted by bullies on his way
to school. He hides in a bookstore, interrupting the grumpy bookseller, Mr. Koreander (Thomas Hill).
Bastian asks about one of the books he sees, but Mr. Koreander warns him it is "not safe."
Nevertheless, Bastian "borrows" the book, leaving a note promising to return it,
and races towards school. He then hides in the school's attic to begin reading "The Neverending Story."
