Sinopsis

Comedia romántica que sigue la búsqueda determinante de una mujer a casarse con el hombre perfecto... a pesar de lo que el destino tiene reservado para ella. Cuando llega su cuarto aniversario, Anna (Amy Adams) no puede pasar sin una propuesta de matrimonio y decide tomar cartas en el asunto. Ella viaja a Dublín para pedirle a su novio Jeremy (Adam Scott) algo muy especial. Lo hará en vista de una tradición irlandesa, en la cual sólo una día cada cuatro años -el día 29 de febrero- una mujer puede pedir matrimonio a su novio con la certeza de que éste contestará sí. Sin embargo, los aviones, el clima y el destino de Anna harán que aparezca en el otro extremo de Irlanda y tiene que contar con la ayuda de Declan (Matthew Goode) para cruzar el país. Anna y Declan recorren la Isla Esmeralda entre discusiones, aunque descubren que el camino hacia el amor puede llevarte a lugares muy inesperados.
