So between and FLAC and WAV, It is simply your preference due to your library or what player you use, OS accepts etc. Uncompressed WAV and FLAC from the same original source should be identical out of your speakers.
That's fucking bullshit. Processing to FLAC takes away. The thing is it's acceptable. Yes, the raw wav file will sound different aka uncompressed, and have a higher dynamic range. Study what Barry Diament said about AIFF over WAV, and see he was right.
