If you haven't already got the VLC Media player get it from here : http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

And, once you've got it installed, follow these instructions :

Method 1

1. Rename your subtitle file to the exact name as the movie file.

2. Play the movie using VLC Media Player.

If you've done it correctly, the player itself will recognise the file.

In case it doesn't, follow Method 2 :

Method 2

1. Play the movie you just downloaded, and pause it for a while.

2. Click Video in menu bar of VLC Player.

3. Go to Subtitles Track option available in the drop-down list of Video menu.

4. Select Open.

5. Now a window will open up. Browse and locate the SRT file and select it.

6. After you have selected the SRT file, click OK.

Vola, you are good to go!
