I wanted to share with you an awesome film from Luc Besson. The Extended Cut of Leon:The Professional. Recut with over 24 miniutes of additional footage cut from the American release, presumeably because it accentuates the father/daughter relationship aspect between sensitive killer, Leon, and the young 12 year old girl, Matilda.



Professional assassin Leon reluctantly takes care of 12-year-old Mathilda, a neighbor whose parents are killed, and teaches her his trade. Superb filmmaking and tense action compliment a tender relationship between a lonely hitman, and an emotionally damaged girl.



Wicked stuff - and belongs in any respectable library.
