Linda Eder - Christmas Stays the Same

The 2000 Christmas album by Broadway/pop crossover star Linda Eder. Her brilliant, soaring, African-inspired adaptation of "Do You Hear What I Hear?" by itself was worth the price of the CD for me, but her perfect voice and style (she rarely over-sings, even with that voice) make every track enjoyable. Her rendition of "O Holy Night" is very good, as is "The Christmas Song" even though that's one of those songs I would have said nobody should cover because they're never going to come close to the perfection of the original.
