SUMMARY/DESCRIPTION

Locke the Superman (超人ロック, Chōjin Rokku) is a manga series by Yuki Hijiri which was later adapted into a movie and three OVA releases. The series chronicles a future history of the Galactic Federation, and the involvement in that history by a psionic "ESPer" who seems to be immortal.

In 2000, Nippon Animation released this OVA, which was a sequel to "New World Command" from 1991. A hacker named Cassandra has managed to restore the Elana supercomputer by tracking down decentralized backup data stored in various places around the galaxy. Locke infiltrates Cassandra's space fortress, but is attacked and captured by Cassandra's partner Stan Berkoff, a man who is immune to Locke's ESP. Elana (and her male alter-ego Neon) plan to use Locke to restart the Tsar project. This plot is countered by Federation agents Ernest Abel & Ariel Grant, as well as by Lan and Nia, who are desperate to track down Elana and finally put an end to Lan's creation for good.

The voice of Cassandra (who also does the opening narration) may sound familiar to many anime fans...she is played by Rika Fukami, best known for playing the role of Sailor Venus. She's also had roles in countless of other anime such as Ashita no Nadja, Blood+, Digimon, Macross Plus, Victory Gundam, Naruto, New Cutey Honey, Prefectural Earth Defense Force, Record of Lodoss War and Wedding Peach.
