Description

Lois and Clark is based on Superman being a Generation X man. In his twenties somewhere Clark must experience life as a pre-thirties pupil. Lois, as always, is by his side at the Daily Planet, adding that oh-so-ever romantic side to his life. The relationship between Lois and Clark, is as always, a platonic but on the edge of mad love, type of experience.



Season 1, Episode 1: Pilot

Original Air Date—12 September 1993

Clark Kent comes to Metropolis looking for a job at the Daily Planet. Perry White first dismisses him as he has no experience. He later goes out to get a story about a theater being torn down which convinces White to accept him because he has initiatives. At the Daily Planet, Lois Lane is intent on uncovering a possible conspiracy behind a space ship launch, which might blow-up. White teams Lois up with the rookie Clark against her better judgment. Meanwhile, Clark is frustrated that he cannot use his powers to help others without exposing himself and jeopardizing his chance at leading a normal life. He consults his mother, Martha Kent, and the two comes up with the Superman costume.



Season 1, Episode 2: Strange Visitor (From Another Planet)

The Daily Planet is raided by people claiming to be from the US government. Lois and Clark are immediately their first targets, as both are connected with Superman. They are interviewed, their notes and computers seized. As it turns out, these men are not who they say at all, their search warrants being fake, but from a secret government branch investigating aliens. Lois and Clark are determined to get to the bottom of this, but for different reasons. This is the chance for Clark to find out where he came from and who he really is.



Season 1, Episode 3: Neverending Battle

Everyone is after Superman. Lex Luthor wants to know how strong and fast he is. He designs various tests for Superman, including having people jump off buildings. Lois is infatuated with the man in tights and is determine to find out as much as she can about him. After having had a story stolen from him, Clark decides to get even with her by sending Lois out on a wild goose chase for Superman's spaceship.



Season 1, Episode 4: I'm Looking Through You

Superman becomes a celebrity in Metropolis and elsewhere in the country. T-shirts, pajamas, baseball caps and other items bearing his logo are on sale everywhere. Clark is overwhelmed by all this and isn't sure that this is what he wants. At the same time, a invisible man appears in the city. At first, he is a Robin Hood-like figure, stealing from the rich and giving the loot to the poor. Later on, however, more serious crimes are reportedly committed by invisible people. The original invisible man teams up with Lois and Clark to catch the bad guys.



Season 1, Episode 5: Requiem for a Superhero

Original Air Date—17 October 1993

Lois and Clark are assigned to cover a large boxing match in the city and find that sever of the fighters seem stronger than the average mortal man. They begin to investigate only to have a dear family friend of Lois' killed for knowing too much and then discover that the man behind it all is Lois's estranged father, Dr. Sam Lane a legend in the world of sports medicine.

Four children breaks out of a special boarding school for troubled kids. Once out, the self-dubbed smart kids manage to disrupt Metropolis, replacing water with detergent and once in a while broadcast themselves on every TV channels. Meanwhile, a scientist in charge of the school is frantically looking for them. When one of the children is temporary under Lois's supervision, she learns that there is something sinister going on at the school.

A Smallville farmer and friend of the Kents discover a piece of kryptonite on his farm. When the farmer disappears and a government agency takes over his farm, Lois and Clark go to Smallville to find out the truth. Clark gets exposed to kryptonite and learns about the effect it has on him.

Superman is accused of being the cause of a major heat wave. An injunction is passed prohibiting him from using his powers. Clark feeling bad about not being able to help people decides to leave Metropolis, much to the dismay of Lois.

A series of romantic complications unfolds as a chemist sprays the newsroom with a pheromone induced perfume.



Season 1, Episode 11: Honeymoon in Metropolis

Lois Lane takes a vacation and happens to spy a congressman possibly making a dirty deal involving a top secret government project. Back at the Daily Planet, Perry White decides to send his two best reporters to keep spying. The catch, however, is that Lois and Clark has to pretend to be a newly married couple during their stay at the luxurious hotel. While on the story, they experience what it is like to live with someone else.



Season 1, Episode 12: All Shook Up

An asteroid is headed for earth and it becomes Superman's mission to stop the impending disaster. He flies into space and intercepts the asteroid at high speed to destroy it. This attempt is only partially successful, and worse Superman seems to be missing and Clark is found with amnesia.

During an interview with an eccentric scientist, Lois unwittingly learns of a great conspiracy to destroy the environment and becomes a witness to her interviewee's murder. Once her story is published, she becomes the target that must be eliminated at all cost. Lois and Clark must race against time to unearth the conspiracy while evading the assassin who has been ordered to kill Lois.

Lois and Clark believe that a string of kidnappings is linked to a magical box decorated with moons and stars. They decide to investigate a magic club where they meet the self-proclaimed greatest magician in the world. Things begin to get serious when the kidnapper manages to hypnotize Superman.

While visiting Lois' Uncle Mike, she and Clark witness gang intimidation and discover that "Intergang", a new criminal organization has moved into and begun to control south Metropolis. A general is killed at a demonstration of the army's latest weapon, by that weapon. As Lois and Clark investigate they discover a terrorist plot to high-jack a satellite and that the person behind the plot just might be Lois' best friend from college and her supposedly dead boyfriend.



Season 2, Episode 7: That Old Gang of Mine

A scientist who believes he can alter people's personalities using their DNA brings Bonnie Parker, Clyde Barrow, John Dillinger, and Al Capone back using a special cloning process. When Clyde shoots Clark during a confrontation, he must fake his death in order to hide his dual identity.

Superman is struck by lightning while stopping William Wallace Webster Waldecker from committing suicide and his powers are copied into Waldecker transforming him into Respendantman. Superman must now contend with figuring out how this happen and teaching the newest superhero how to use his powers responsibly. Meanwhile, Dr. Gretchen Kelly, Lex Luthor's doctor, witnesses the power exchange and becomes obsessed with getting powers for herself.

After Mr. Schott is fired from his toy making job, he decides to get revenge and make a lot of money by creating Atomic Space Rats, which spray a substance that causes everyone to be more greedy. It also makes adults, including Clark, act like children.



Season 2, Episode 10: Metallo

Lucy Lane moves back into town with her boyfriend Johnny. After Johnny is shot by police during a robbery attempt, two scientists transform him into a cyborg that is powered by Kryptonite. After he discovers this he decides to use his new powerful body to be a more prolific criminal and try to defeat Superman.



Season 2, Episode 11: Chi of Steel

After Perry's men's club is robbed and all his savings taken, Lois and Clark begin to investigate and find that the same martial arts expert who robbed the club is responsible for several other robberies. The thief uses special power totem bracelets which allow them to use Superman's strength against him.



Season 2, Episode 12: The Eyes Have It

Original Air Date—22 January 1995

Dr. Faraday creates a device that can transmit information to someone's brain through a beam of light and uses it on Lois before he's killed. Two scientists, who are trying to get their hands on the device, make Superman blind with a beam of light shone into his eyes. Lois takes care of him at her apartment, while everybody thinks that Clark is in the mountains with Mayson Drake.



Season 2, Episode 13: The Phoenix

Clark finally asks Lois out on a date, which she accepts after thinking about it for a while. But before they can go out on their first date, Dr. Gretchen Kelly brings Lex Luthor back to life and he begins to work toward getting back his fortune and Lois, by force if necessary.
