Description====================================== RCA Victor ?– APL1-0207 (1973) {Original US Black Label} Berlin is a 1973 album by Lou Reed, his third solo album and the follow-up to Transformer. In 2003, the album was ranked number 344 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time, though the magazine had called the album a "disaster" 30 years prior. The album is a tragic rock opera about a doomed couple, and addresses themes of drug use, prostitution, depression, domestic violence, and suicide. "The Kids" tells of Caroline having her children taken from her by the authorities, and features the sounds of children shouting for their mother. UK group The Waterboys takes its name from a line in this song. Musically, Berlin differs greatly from the bulk of Reed's work, due to the use of heavy orchestral arrangements, horns, and top session musicians. Instrumentally, Reed himself only contributes acoustic guitar. ========================================= Tracklist A1 Berlin.flac A2 Lady Day.flac A3 Men Of Good Fortune.flac A4 Caroline Says I.flac A5 How Do You Think It Feels.flac A6 Oh, Jim.flac B1 Caroline Says II.flac B2 The Kids.flac B3 The Bed.flac B4 Sad Song.flac =========================================== General File size : 1.05GB Overall bit rate mode : Variable Overall bit rate : 2 852 Kbps Album : Berlin {Original US} Track name/Position : 05 Performer : Lou Reed Genre : Psychedelic Rock Recorded date : 1973 Engineer : Boticario boti ======================================= Audio Format : FLAC Format/Info : Free Lossless Audio Codec Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : 2 852 Kbps Channel(s) : 2 channels Sampling rate : 96.0 KHz Bit depth : 24 bits Writing library : libFLAC 1.2.1 (UTC 2007-09-17) Sharing Widget |
