Alan and his make-over team head to Bolton this week to surprise a 39-year-old RSPCA officer and turn her wasteland of a garden - the longest skinny plot they have ever tackled - into a spectacular animal friendly haven.

Caroline Hall was ecstatic when she moved from her native Scotland to Bolton for her full time job as an animal charity inspector but at the age of 33, a near fatal spinal stroke turned her life upside down. Tragically this outdoors girl and life-long animal lover was left completely paralysed from the neck down. Against the odds the determined Scot learned to walk again with the use of sticks but is mostly confined to a mobility scooter. Because of these challenges her once beloved garden has become an inaccessible wilderness.
