Mac OS X El Capitan (downloaded from App Store) (Size: 5.66 GB)
Mac OS X El Capitan.dmg5.66 GB

Description

This a .dmg of Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan released on September 30th, 2015.
It was downloaded directly from the App Store.
You can use it to make a bootable usb as shown in multiple tutorials on the Web and Youtube.

Here is the procedure to make a bootable usb:

1. Double-click Mac Os X El Capitan.dmg in the Finder to mount its volume. That volume will appear in the Finder as OS X Install ESD; open it to view its contents.
2. Several of the files you’ll need to work with are hidden in the Finder, and you need to make them visible. Open the Terminal app (in /Application/Utilities), then type (or copy and paste) the following command, and then press Return:

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles 1 && killall Finder

(This tells the Finder to show hidden files—we’ll re-hide such files later.)
3. Launch Disk Utility (in /Applications/Utilities) and then drag BaseSystem.dmg (in the OS X Install ESD volume) into Disk Utility’s left-hand sidebar.
4. Select BaseSystem.dmg in Disk Utility’s sidebar, and then click the Restore button in the main part of the window.
Drag the BaseSystem.dmg icon into the Source field on the right (if it isn’t already there).
5. Connect to your Mac the properly formatted hard drive or flash drive you want to use for your bootable El Capitan installer.
6. In Disk Utility, find this destination drive in the left sidebar. You may see a couple partitions under the drive: one named EFI and another with the name you see for the drive in the Finder. Drag the latter—the one with the drive name—into the Destination field on the right. (If the destination drive has additional partitions, just drag the partition you want to use as your bootable installer volume.)
Warning: This step will erase the destination drive or partition, so make sure that it doesn’t contain any valuable data. Click Restore, and then click Erase in the dialog box that appears; if prompted, enter an admin-level username and password.
Wait for the restore procedure to finish, which should take just a few minutes.
7. Open the destination drive—the one you’re using for your bootable installer drive, which has been renamed OS X Base System. Inside that drive, open the System folder, and then open the Installation folder. You’ll see an alias called Packages. Delete that alias.
8. Open the mounted OS X Install ESD volume, and you’ll see a folder called Packages. Drag that folder into the Installation folder on your destination drive. (You're replacing the deleted Packages alias with this Packages folder.) The folder is about 4.6GB in size, so the copy will take a bit of time, especially if you’re copying to a slow thumb drive.
9. Also in the mounted OS X Install ESD volume, you’ll find files named BaseSystem.chunklist and BaseSystem.dmg. Copy these files to the root (top) level of your install drive (OS X Base System, not into the System or Installation folder).
10. Eject the OS X Install ESD volume.
11. You’ll likely want to re-hide invisible files in the Finder. Open the Terminal app, type (or copy and paste) the following command, and then press Return:

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles 0 && killall Finder

uTorrent says the availability is 2, so someone else has downloaded succesfully this torrent. Please help seeding.
What about now? Are you passing 99.99%?
I'm not connected to any seeders but still Availability is 1.999 which means all the parts are available with the peer I'm connected to, or it's possible that I might have the remaining 0.1% part.

Update: I don't have 0.1% coz Availability just went down to 0.999. The peer must have disconnected from me.
Tried updating the trackers, no luck... Still stuck at 99.9%.
For all those stuck at 99.99%

Let's try adding this trackers:

udp://exodus.desync.com:6969/announce
udp://coppersurfer.tk:6969/announce
udp://9.rarbg.me:2710/announce
http://tracker.best-torrents.net:6969/announce
http://mgtracker.org:2710/announce
http://announce.torrentsmd.com:6969/announce
http://bt.careland.com.cn:6969/announce
http://exodus.desync.com/announce
http://pow7.com/announce
Didn't seem to work in my case. I'm still stuck at 99%.
Well, when I reset Bans and Clear Peer list, I do connect to a Seeder (which is using uTorrent Mac 1.8.7 should be the uploader). I even download a little data when he's connected, but I haven't reached 99.9% yet.

You can keep resetting Bans, and I'm sure you'll be able to finish downloading. Also add all possible trackers.

BTW how much data is left to be downloaded?
Stuck in 99.99%. uTorrent..!!
Didn't work here, 99.9%
What are u using? Deluge? uTorrent? Sometimes it helps to recheck the file or to switch to another client.
First of all, Thank you for this upload. It'd have taken insane amount of failed downloads and long time for me to download from Mac App Store with my 512Kbps net.

But one little thing, in the Peers list, I don't see anyone having downloaded this 100%, all are stuck at 99.9%. Though on the other hand I see that there are about 80 people who have finished but I'm not connected to any seeders.
I've been uploading all night and uTorrent now shows that I have uploaded 8.1 GB, 229 peers and 127 seeding but shows no real seeds. I think that people are just downloading and running. And no one has commented about how this torrent is legit, which makes me real sad.
Well, I totally believe you're seeding, this happens. I think maybe the issue is in Trackers. I'm not 100% sure but if you add some well known tracker in your torrent client and share the tracker info here, we can manually add it. It'd probably work then.

I'm also sad to see some anonymous guy(s) commenting stupid things. But don't feel bad. People will do what they do, anonymous guys shouldn't be taken seriously.

Update: One more probable issue, I was not able to download the torrent file, so I used Magnet, but it didn't add all the trackers. Maybe some issue with magnet.

Update 2: I manually added trackers from the technical page, but still no luck. Though when I Clear Peers List and Reset Bans, I briefly connect to 1 Seeder.
Let's try this trackers:

udp://exodus.desync.com:6969/announce
udp://coppersurfer.tk:6969/announce
udp://9.rarbg.me:2710/announce
http://tracker.best-torrents.net:6969/announce
http://mgtracker.org:2710/announce
http://announce.torrentsmd.com:6969/announce
http://bt.careland.com.cn:6969/announce
http://exodus.desync.com/announce
http://pow7.com/announce
Well, that didn't seem to work, but I think when I reset bans I connect to you, if I had reached 99.9% I'm sure i'd be able to download from you.

If we still can't I think if you create another torrent with exact same data, people can manually resume stuck downloads.
Try adding this peer 186.64.208.140:40959 or ip140-208-64-186.ct.co.cr:40959

Right click on a Peer in Peer List and click Add Peer.
