Please Read Uploader's Notes Below Tech Specifications: Synopsis: Some two years ago, Monideepa (Sohini Sarkar), the wife of a affluent businessman Arun Chowdhury (Neel), suddenly disappears. A former CBI officer, noe a Private Detective, Rudrajit (Chiranjit) is called in to find out what happened to her. Chiranjit tries, but suddenly, Arun Chowdhury is also found dead. All that Rudrajit has to go by, are conjectures and a letter written by Monideepa. Yet it is an unsolved case and that worries Rudrajit.. Then one night, returning from a case, his car breaks down. At a remote spot, he meets a young man Madhusudan (Arghadeep Chatterjee). They sit down to analyse the case and eerily details not known to Rudrajit start emerging... Comments: The plot is very loosely based on the story Monihara by Rabindranath tagore, but the seeting is modern day Bengal and the treatment is very different from the original tale. This is a ghost story disguised as a murder mystery, and to the credit of Director, Subhrajeet, he does not let interest flag. In fact, it a very mature handling of a story by a debutant Director. In fact, its a very good effort by a young team, as most of the people involved are relatively new. Cinematography by Roze Alam is excellent as is the editing by Aloke Dhara. I found the music a little obstrusive but its a minor issue. Yet the film is not without flaws. Rudadip is shown to be addicted to the bottle. So much so he seems to be never without it evn during the morning and daytime. It did not gel with the persona of the sharp detective. Also the screenplay seems to have veered slightly from the original Tagore story. The love of jewellery of Monideepa does not have a clear connection with her death and post-death obsession. Monideepa's problems seem to be more of two timing and uncaring menfolk instead. If you take out the scenes of her holding on to the jewels, the basic story line would hardly be affected. Still, it is a fine attempt by a debutant director. The film will keep you rooted to your chair for all of two hours. Uploader's Notes: This 1080p rip is from a Web HD given to me by a friend. I have made very few changes to the original except for a little bit of shadow gaining and edge sharpening..
