ABOUT THE BOOK

DI Tom Thorne must discover the link between these killings and a murder/suicide that took place twenty-five years before; a tragedy to which the only witnesses were two small children, now adults and nowhere to be found. How can you escape a past that will do a lot more than just catch up with you? And how can Thorne catch a killer, when he doesn't really care about the victims?


ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Mark Billingham was born and brought up in Birmingham. Having worked for some years as an actor and more recently as a TV writer and stand-up comedian his first crime novel was published in 2001. He has been awarded the 2003 Sherlock Award as the creator of the Best Detective created by a British writer and LAZYBONES won the Theakston's Old Peculier Award for best crime novel of the year. He has also been an award-winning children's writer. Mark lives in North London with his wife and two children.


ABOUT THE READER
Steve Perrin started acting at the age of 10 after joining the youth workshop of Medway Little Theatre and continued with the group for 8 years. He first got involved with Alternate Shadows in 2000 and enjoyed a vast range of roles over the years from one act plays to pantomimes and murder mysteries. He was also involved in the Alternate Shadows production of 'Twisted Tales' at the Edinbugh fringe festival in 2001.
He has also written plays that have been entered into one act play festivals. The first of which won best original play and best overall production in 2011 and his second play 'Cause and Effect' came third place in 2013.
His directorial debut came with 'Survive' in 2015, a third play written by himself. This production finished fourth in a one act play festival winning three acting awards.
