DescriptionMP3@320kbps Please Seed as long as possible After Downloading    - Mason Rack Band - - Limits of Grip (2011) - Australia power-blues trio the Mason Rack band shows their diversity on their second studio CD “Limit of Grip.” Rack, who is known for his Tom Waits gravelly growl and his scorching guitar, shows he can also play with taste and feel and enrapture an audience with just his voice on the opening track “Hard Goodbye.” It is a surprisingly a slower number with a deadly, slinky bassline and Rack almost rapping, telling stories in something that almost sounds like Beat poetry. It also shows off his lyrical depth as do a lot of his songs, featuring his unusual stream of consciousness thoughts. The second track, “Purple and Blue,” is a return to form — an upbeat, massive riffed blues rocker. He shows some reggae and pop on “Mankind,” starting it off with a groovy reggae vibe, and couple horns in the background adding some jazz. He picks up the tempo midway through the song, then speeds up the beat into more of a jazzy/ blues groove, not to mention a drum solo. He growls “ you won’t be hearing this song on the radio.
