Siamo nel 1965, quattro anni dopo l'inizio della vicenda, William e Lizzy sono impegnati a difendere davanti all'opinione pubblica i loro studi sulle reazioni fisiologiche dell'uomo e della donna nell'atto sessuale. Nuovo personaggio di questa terza stagione, e' Daniel Logan (interpretato da Josh Charles, l'ex Will Gardner di The Good Wife), un carismatico uomo d'affari che vuole sfruttare le ricerche scientifiche di Masters e Caplan per fini commerciali.
