Description

I make no claims for his authenticity, (he claimed to be the Avatar of the age) but he was an interesting and unique figure. He was silent for the last 43 years of his life. He underwent many prolonged periods of fasting and seclusion. He spent time with "advanced souls, sadhus, the mad and the poor". See The Wayfarers for more on that. Pete Townsend seems to like him.

Sorry I didn't see this until now. Thanks for the comment. I agree, silence and solitude are very beneficial. Their prolonged practice and lead to states of awareness and conditions of understanding that cannot be accessed through language or rational thought.
.
As for extraordinary claims ... well, they call for extraordinary proof, no don't they. IMP. there's no better proof than one's own self-realization.
