opis:

The "Memphis Belle" is a World War II bomber, piloted by a young crew on dangerous bombing raids into Europe.
The crew only have to make one more bombing raid before they have finished their duty and can go home. In the
briefing before their last flight, the crew discover that the target for the day is Bremen, a heavily-defended
town that invariably causes many Allied casualties.

Akcja filmu rozgrywa się podczas II wojny światowej, we wschodniej Anglii. Grupa młodych żołnierzy,
stanowiących załogę bombowca B-17 zwanego "Memphis Belle", ma za sobą już 24 udane loty nad Europą.
Przed nimi ostatnie, najważniejsze zadanie. Po tym finalnym 25 locie, kończącym ich służbę będą mogli
rozjechać się do domów. Przed decydującą misją załoga dowiaduje się, że na trasie lotu znajdują się
niemieckie miejscowości (Brema) wyposażone w ponad 500 dział przeciwlotniczych oraz szybkie Messerschmitty.
Dodatkowe zagrożenie dla powodzenia misji stanowi wyjątkowo niesprzyjająca okoliczność, że celem ostrzału
ma być fabryka znajdująca się blisko zamieszkałych przez cywilów domów.
