Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) is a secret agent working for the Men in Black (a super secret government agency charged with policing Alien activity on Earth.). After his partner has retired, he sets out for a new partner and finds NYPD cop James Edwards (Smith), who had and encounter with an alien who had valuable information. As he becomes a new member for the MIB and is now known as J, an alien terrorist enters the earth with a mission on finding the galaxy that might cause an intergalactic war. K and J are now on a mission to destroy the bug before the earth is destroyed.
