Description

Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis
Narration by Geoffrey Howard
Publisher: Blackstone Audio, Inc.
Audible.com Release Date: May 10, 2005

Mere Christianity is a theological book adapted from a series of BBC radio talks made between 1942 and 1944, while C.S. Lewis was at Oxford during World War II. Lewis, an Anglican, intended to describe the Christian common ground. In Mere Christianity, he aims at avoiding controversies to explain fundamental teachings of Christianity, for the sake of those basically educated as well as the intellectuals of his generation, for whom the jargon of formal Christian theology did not retain its original meaning.

Note: C.S. Lewis died 22 November 1963 and made it clear from his original broadcast that he intended Mere Christianity to be widely available. Geoffrey Howard died 8 November 2002. The living profiteers of this book and it's audio recording are publishers who took no part in either the authorship or composition of this audio book--therefore, it is better off being distributed for free so that it might save more souls.
