Microsoft Office 2010/2013/2016 VL - Office Patch Collector

Purpose: Create your own, fully updated Microsoft Office installation disc or folder
Applies to: Any version of Microsoft Office 2010/2013/2016 Volume License x86/x64, (Suites, Visio, Project), in any language

What you need

- A computer with a fully updated Office installation
- A Microsoft Office installation disc (ISO) or folder ('network installation point') matching the Office product installed on the computer

How to

1. Run Microsoft Update to apply all the necessary Office updates on the computer
2. Run the Visual Basic script 'CollectUpdates.vbs' (Office patch Collector) to extract the update files that are installed on the computer to a target folder.
The script uses %Temp%Updates as the target folder, where %Temp% is the Windows temporary folder.

3. The script can take a few minutes to finish, then it opens a window in explorer (%Temp%Updates) which contains all .msp (updates) files installed on the computer
Note: for some reason, the file names are uppercase. If you want to change the file names to lowercase (optional), just open a command prompt in this folder and run the following command
for /f "Tokens=*" %f in ('dir /l/b/a-d') do (rename "%f" "%f")
4. If you have an installation disc image (ISO), just extract all files to a folder of your choice aka ('network installation point')
5. Go to the Updates folder in your network installation point and delete any existing .msp file
6. Copy all .msp files from folder %Temp%Updates to the Updates folder in your network installation point
7. Optional: create an ISO file from your network installation point and delete folder %Temp%Updates
