Plot summary


Seoul, the present day. A serial killer is stalking the city and claims
his eighth victim. The following evening Goh Seon-yeong(Su Ae), a onetime
controversial news anchor who has since become the popular presenter/DJ
of HBC Radios four-hour Midnight FM slot, arrives at the studio for her
final programme before leaving the job. The next morning she is due to
fly to New York with her young daughter Eun-su(Lee Jun-ha) for the latter
to have an operation. As usual, her younger sister Ah-yeong(Shin Da-eun)
is looking after Eun-su while she is at work, and has brought along her
own young daughter, Hyeon-ji(Choi Heui-weon).

Just before Seon-yeong is due to go to air, a man called Han
Dong-su(Yu Ji-tae) breaks into her flat, whacks Ah-yeong unconscious and
ties up Hyeon-ji; Eun-su, however, manages to hide. Dong-su calls
Seon-yeong during her programme and tells her to follow his instructions
over what music to play, and to tell no one, otherwise he will kill her
sister. Thinking it is a prank call, Seon-yeong gets the police to check
her apartment, but Dong-su murders both of them. Meanwhile, the police,
led by Detective Jo(Jo Seok-hyeon) have found the body of the serial
killers eighth victim, Seon-yeongs replacement, Im Se-yeon(Lee Hyeon-geol).

At the flat, Eun-su is still hiding from Dong-su; at the studio, Seon-yeong
is becoming more and more frantic from his requests, and the situation is
not improved when her producer, Oh Jeong-moo(Jeong Man-shik), who is still
angry over her quitting, turns up and puts a spoke in the works.
