From Wiki: Midnight Oil was an Australian hard rock band from Sydney, Australia. Through a long and distinguished career, the band became known for its driving hard-rock sound, intense live performances and political activism, particularly in aid of environmentalist and indigenous causes. Blue Sky Mining is an album by Midnight Oil that was released in 1990 under the Columbia Records label. While receiving high ratings from critics, it was poorly received by fans of earlier albums as straying too far from Midnight Oil's signature edginess.[citation needed] A limited release of the record featured clear blue vinyl. The title track reached #1 on the Modern Rock Tracks. Tracks: "Blue Sky Mine" (Midnight Oil) "Stars of Warburton" (James Moginie, Peter Garrett) "Bedlam Bridge" (Robert Hirst) "Forgotten Years" (Hirst, Moginie) "Mountains of Burma" (Hirst) "King of the Mountain" (Hirst, Moginie) "River Runs Red" (Hirst, Moginie) "Shakers and Movers" (Moginie, Garrett) "One Country" (Moginie, Garrett) "Antarctica" (Moginie, Hirst, Martin Rotsey, Garrett) Enjoy :) Sharing Widget |
