1. Monster:
Josh Mackay has studied his quarry for two months, and now it’s time to earn his pay. Bringing in an escaped Minder—a psi who can bend anyone’s mind to his will—takes a specialist.

Luring the surprisingly naïve Kiran Brunner to a safe house is almost too easy. As the tranqs take hold, though, the beautiful monster’s last plea, don’t let them hurt me, tears at Josh’s conscience. To his horror, they do just that.

Kir let his loneliness and instant attraction to Josh lure him into a trap he should have sensed. Even as his consciousness fades, he sinks psychic hooks into Josh as a pure reflex, a survival instinct honed by years of abuse at the hands of the agency.

Even though Josh’s job is done, he finds he can’t simply walk away. Not only because of what Kir is, but why the agency wants the boy back. Trouble is, he doesn’t know if he’s doing the right thing…or if his will is being twisted by the mind of a murderer.

2. Zombie: Two years after Josh McKay captured escaped Minder Kiran Brunner, Josh’s life is in ruins. Desire had a hand in letting the beautiful monster sink psychic hooks into his will, and now he is essentially a prisoner of the agency, his every move watched for any hint of a connection that could lead to Kir.

Unable to stand by and let an amoral Minder destroy his lover, Kir extracts Josh from the agency’s compound and sweeps him away to a secluded cabin to heal. It’s just the two of them, Kir and Josh. Both wounded at the hands of the agency, both struggling to find the will to trust each other through the agency-induced barrier of hatred and fear.

Kir has all the patience in the world. What he doesn’t have is time. Whatever love they have rebuilt may be too fragile to withstand the future they face…

3. Minder: Although Josh and Kir have each narrowly escaped the grip of the agency, they haven’t escaped its long, devastating reach. Josh has gone to ground, desperate to keep a lid on an implanted compulsion to kill his lover.

When he learns Kir is in danger, though, he has no choice but to come out of hiding and use every deadly skill at his disposal. Then try to pull away before he unwillingly takes aim at Kir.

Kir is having none of it. Now that he has Josh back in his life, he’s confident his powers as a Minder—and their love—will keep them both safe. But Josh is not the same man who disappeared almost a year ago. The agency has seen to that, and they have a fallback plan to bring Kir back under their control…or see them both dead.

4. Poison: Tobias Smator lives down his late father's execution by avoiding the spotlight-and responsibility. He doesn't mind what people think of him as long as they leave him alone. Still, in this unremarkable half-life he's fashioned for himself on deceptively low-tech Rimania, he's not safe from political intrigue. Someone wants him dead.
Alliance operative Geln Marac's orders for his first assignment were simple: Stay uninvolved. Those orders go out the window, however, when he delivers an antidote to save Tobias from death by poisoning. His reward? Possible betrayal that lands him in the hands of police interrogators. To protect the Alliance, Geln resorts to a temporary mindwipe.
Tobias is fascinated by the amnesiac man who saved his life. But Geln has attracted the attention of the high-powered Lord Eberly, who would use him as a pawn. Rather than sacrifice Geln to the political wolves, Tobias chooses to embrace his heritage.
