As there I didn't do any shortcuts thought i'd post the shortcut:
C:Usersyour username hereAppDataRoaming.minecraftRun.cmd
instuctions for windows vista/7/8 are:
Right click the desktop goto New, then click Shortcut and then paste in C:Usersyour username hereAppDataRoaming.minecraftRun.cmd press enter and finaly on the what would you like to name the shortcut screen type MineCraft
