Description

MONOPOLY 2 (1999), MONOPOLY 3 (2002) AND MONOPOLY STAR WARS NEED TO BE ADDED TO DEP EXCEPTIONS! READ THE EXTA INFO SECTION! IF NOT ADDED, THEY WILL MOST PROBABLY CRASH!

Play them, enjoy them and purchase any you like. Monopoly was, is and will be a great game and deserves support :D

If you want newer Monopoly games, then look at this torrent.
Torrent: Monopoly Collection 7 in 1

You can get the games separately, unzip them in their own archive and run them. They are all portable and do not really require installation. You do not need the Videos for Star Wars Edition to play it, but without them, the game is not as awesome!

If you install the games with my installer or extract all the archives in the same folder, you will be able to use the launcher I put together. The launcher will bring up a simple UI that looks like this

This is something I put together, from finding working versions of different Monopoly games around and compiling them in one. I have Monopoly Junior, but since there isn't a NoCD patch and it needs to be installed from the CD, I did not include it.

The games are:
Monopoly Deluxe 1992 (VGA Edition)
Monopoly Deluxe 1992 (SVGA Edition)
Monopoly 1 (1995)
Monopoly 2 (1999) (Found around the net as Monopoly 3D)
Monopoly 3 (2002)
Monopoly Star Wars Edition (1997)

Cracks
You do not need any cracks. All of these are precracked. I played all of them on Windows 7 and 10 and all seem to work, save for Monopoly 2. Read the Extra section bellow for more.

Virus / Trojan Warnings
I have checked the files with BitDefender, Qihoo Total Security 360, Comodo Internet Security and Malwarebytes Antimalware. None of them returned a positive.

My installer which I use for all my repacks returns some false positives, which you can check with this virustotal. The only big engines (that I know of) that will complain are Panda, McAfee and Sophos. You do not need to use the installer. Read below for more info.

Installer
All this installer does is to place your game in the folder you choose, create a shortcut with a nice icon on your desktop and also add an uninstall option in your Programs list. Remember that the uninstaller removes everything from the folder you install it, because it does not add anything in the registry, but the folder that it should remove. If you want to remove the game but keep saves or anything you change in the folder, make sure to first backup and then uninstall.

I have included a “Replace before installation for NO Star Wars Videos” folder which just contains a “records.ini” to replace the one in the base folder. This is for people that do not want to download the Star Wars Video Files, but want to use the installer.

Extra Info on possible problems with the games.
Ok first thing first, like I say on the top, some games need to do added to DEP exceptions. In Windows 7 it seems to always be needed, but with Windows 10 on other computers it was needed and others not. If a game crashes, add it to DEP Exceptions.

For people that do not know how to add games to DEP exceptions, the follow these steps:
1) Go to Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Performance Settings Button > Data Execution Prevention Tab.
2) Choose the second option, which will activate the list and the buttons on this tab.
3) Click the add button and search for the exe files of the games you want to add.
4) Click OK and then IF you are prompted to restart the computer, do so. Usually this is only needed if yo have never before have used DEP exceptions, so it is a one time thing.

With that out of the way I want to point out an obvious thing. These games are made for older Windows and it is a given they might glitch out or have bugs. Please realize that before getting this. And now for some things to point out for each of the games.

Monopoly Deluxe, VGA and SVGA, are both the same game and that is not their actual name. I named them this way, because the SVGA version has better sound, animation and colors. The reason I added them both is because personally I used to play the VGA version and it is nostalgic. Weirdly enough the VGA version seems to be on Windows 3.1 (which is where I used to play it) and the SVGA DOS. This is why the VGA is larger, since it contains Windows 3.1 too.

For people familiar with the Dosbox, I changed the cycles speed of the VGA version to 3500 from 20000, because the animation was way too fast. Putting it on auto makes everything go way too fast. SVGA works fine on auto, running at 3000 cycles. If you want to play full screen, you can with Alt+Enter or you can look up the dosbox.conf and change fullscreen to true, so it will start fullscreen. Something to point out is that I tried to quit the VGA version on Windows 10, by clicking on the X button, and the laptop gave me a BSOD. I doubt it has to do so much with the game, as much as dosbox.

In Monopoly Deluxe, to start a new game, you have to go to File>New. Just in case a person that did not play these tries to play. Also on the SVGA version Mr. Monopoly won't stop dancing until you play ESC and also, to see the menus you have to hold down your right mouse button.

Monopoly 1 plays in window mode, but I do not know how to make it full screen. In Monopoly.ini you can change the board image between USA, UK, French or German, although I have not tested any but the USA one, so I can't be fully sure. For new players, I suggest you at least try to play it. Change your resolution if you want it a bit larger and just try. I loved how every square had it's own video and depending what actions the player did, it would show different little videos. Such nice nostalgia!

Monopoly 2 now is the one problematic one. Problematic as in it does not work on Windows 7 and 10. Obviously if it was totally unplayable I would not include it, but it sadly works only on Windows XP. No matter what I tried, I could not find a way to make it work on Windows 7 or 10, but I included it for the sake of collection and for anyone that will want to play it on XP. This Monopoly is found around as Windows 3D, which is actually the 1999 release. With this Monopoly you could actually make your own board or more like alter pictures of it. Shame it does not work with newer Windows, but maybe someone will find a way :D

Monopoly 3 has no problems, almost. You must see a folder called “Videos for Monopoly 3 2002”, which actually contains the 3 videos of Monopoly 3 zipped and Indeo IV5 Codec. The reason I put them separately is because these can give errors and if anything they are only the opening of Monopoly 3. The avi files are encoded with Indeo's iv50, which is not supported anymore and it is not included in windows. The only way to make these three videos work inside the game, is to install the IV5 Codec. If you choose to do so, put the files in the Monopoly 3 folder and in the installation of the codec, choose Custom installation and to only install Indeo 5 Codec. It might end up giving you an error or saying there was a problem with installation, but after I installed it, the videos worked fine. Like I said, they are not needed, this is why I placed them separately.

Monopoly Star Wars Edition did not really have any problem. The only thing I can point out, is that to exit the other games, you just hit ESC and the option to leave comes up. For Star Wars Edition, you have to click on a little red orb droid over C-3PO and then click on File and Exit. Although I have to say, out of 3 Windows 10 machines I tried to play this, on one it just would not work. It gave me an error and denied to work. It was not my computer, so I did not honestly try to check why, but just wanted to share that.

Phew. Not sure if I missed anything, but if anything comes up, or anyone knows something to make some of the games play better, do share.
