Even though there have been numerous Motorhead best of’s, live collections, and box sets issued, more and more crop up each year. 2000′s OVER THE TOP is a rarities collection of sorts, featuring 12 tracks of alternate takes, B-sides, and other forgotten numbers.
Highlights include the infamous 1981 UK hit "Please Don’t Touch" (which was a collaboration between Motorhead and the all-female metal band Girlschool), an alternate take of "Over the Top," plus covers of "Train Kept A Rollin’" and "Louie Louie." Although most of these tracks are included on the late-90′s remastered versions of Motorhead’s early CD catalogue, longtime fans will enjoy having them all on a single disc.
