With his recording of K. 456 & K. 459, Arthur Schooderwoerd presents the second part of his complete recording of the Mozart piano concertos on ACCENT. Schoonderwoerd, one of the most sought after interpreters on the fortepiano, and his Ensemble Cristofori have set for themselves the goal of liberating Mozart's works from the sound concepts of the 19th and 20th centuries.

The Piano Concerto, K. 459 deserves special attention, for it is heard here for the first time with reconstructed timpani and trumpet parts which are true to Mozart’s manuscript.
