MSTS - Addon - SLI BNSF Seligman Route 2.0 (Complete Package) (Size: 1.25 GB)
Description
SLI BNSF Seligman Route 2.0 (Complete Package) The former Santa Fe Seligman Subdivision has changed a lot in the past 15 years. With the merger between the Santa Fe and the Burlington Northern to form the BNSF Railway, new technologies and operating methods have put in place system wide. Beginning in the late 1990's, BNSF began installing CTC on the western portion of the line, from Seligman to Needles. The majority of the former ATSF passing sidings are still in use today, either as storage tracks or as CTC controlled sidings. The old ATSF signals that once graced the western, as well as the eastern portion are now gone, replaced by modern, solid state, traffic light-type signals. While we cannot stop the movement of time and technology, we can surely marvel at the highly efficient piece of railroad the Seligman Subdivision is today. Also, in the past 5 years, the majority of the BNSF's older locomotives, including the ubiquitous SD40-2s, have moved to other parts of the system, leaving the equally ubiquitous GE C44-9W and newer GEVO (ES44DC) locomotives to handle traffic on the BNSF Transcon. Not much is left of the former Santa Fe, save for a few bridges, some old station signs here and there, and former ATSF GP60s handling local wayfreight and yard switching duties. Today's Seligman is a constant onslaught of high horsepower GE's pulling exceptionally long trains of ocean and domestic containers, piggyback trailers, grain, fossil fuels, chemicals, and manifest traffic of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Product Features 12 High Detail Locomotive models, including GE ES44DC, GE C44-9W, and EMD GP60 Over 50 pieces of rolling stock, including new 53' articulated well cars Accurate Cabviews and Physics Daytime and Nightime Cabviews High Quality 22khz Audio Challenging Activities and Much More! This also includes the BNSF Priority Traffic for the BNSF Seligman Route 2.0 package (readme below), and includes all patches and fixes. These trains primarily carry United Parcel Service traffic, but also carry containers and trailers from other shipping companies like FedEx. One part of this product is a high priority Z train, including 3 ES44AC locomotives, double stack container cars with 53' UPS containers, 89' flat cars with 53' trailers, and a selection of 57' TTRX all purpose spine cars with a variety of loads. The other portion of this product focuses on the return of EMD locomotives to the Seligman route. In 2012, most of BNSF's SD60M, SD75M, and SD75I locomotives were put into storage lines with uncertain futures. Fortunately, a power shortage in 2013 has brought many of them back into regular service. One of each of the aforementioned locomotive types are included, as well as a freight activity involving delivering grain cars and tank cars to the Purina facility in Flagstaff. Finally, there are some minor modifications and/or updates to some of the existing rolling stock included in the package, as well as an experimental trainspotting scenario. It might sound strange for a train simulator, but it can be quite enjoyable. Try it out!
