Description

SLI Canadian Pacific Rail SD60 Trainset

Former SOO Line SD60's get a new lease on life. In 2012, Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) turned to Cad Railway Industries in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, to refurbish the aging units and prepare them for many more years of service. Externally, these locos are almost identical to the originals, but internally, a number of electronics and engine components have been upgraded. Perhaps more noticable than anything is the striking CPR red paint scheme applied to these units. While the scheme reflects the corporate brand of the Canadian Pacific, they still retain an appearance close to the SOO Candy Apple Red many formerly adorned.

Included with this set is the consist of a Midwestern US grain train, which would be similar to the kinds of equipment seen in CPR's US operating territories. Although, this train is not just limited to the US region, and could be found in this configuration anywhere on CP's vast North American system.
