EMD GP60 Engine Pack Volume 2

The EMD GP60 is a 3800 hp freight engine, built between 1985 and 1994. It was the last mass-produced 4-axle locomotive built by EMD, and was delivered with the 16 cylinder 710G3 engine. The GP60 is best suited in high speed intermodal and fast freight operations. The original purchasers of this locomotive type were the Santa Fe, Denver & Rio Grande Western, Norfolk Southern, Cotton Belt (SSW), and Southern Pacific.

This product contains 3 locomotives which were part of the original Southern Pacific/Cotton Belt order, and 3 locomotives in Denver & Rio Grande Western livery. The D&RGW only purchased three GP60s, so the included locomotives represent their entire roster. The SP/SSW/D&RGW locomotives ultimately became part of the Union Pacific in the 1990's.
