Here is the solution to the Rivals game crashing.

Download the "vcredist_x64.exe" (6.9 MB) or (x86) for 32 bit Windows. Also, this will fix the error message "MSVCP100.dll". Here is the Microsoft Website link: http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/confirmation.aspx?id=30679\n

After you intall this, you should be able to start the game in x64 as long as the Rivals game is install in "PROGRAM FILES" not x86.\n

Works great on win7 x64 with xbox controller. I had the missing MSVCP110.dll issue but downloaded Visual C++ Redistributable update as mentioned below and it worked like a charm. Thanks a bunch :)
