The basic components of Netop Remote Control consist of two remote control software pieces: the Guest (installed on the technician’s computer) and the Host (installed on the target machine), which can be installed on Windows, Mac and Linux devices. Alternatively, our browser-based support console enables service desk representatives to provide support from a web-browser without installing an application on their computer.
With the Guest and Host modules installed, one technician can access many devices at the same time; for example, to run updates. Multiple technicians can also access the same device to collaborate on problem-solving.

When installed on your server, it answers queries from Netop Remote Control about session permissions and access rights across a network connection, giving you centralized control of security, administration, authentication and authorization on every user in your system.
You decide which machines a technician (or group) can support. You define permissions for hundreds to thousands of users. Your settings are stored in an ODBC-compliant database, where you can make changes centrally, without having to update local settings on every client machine. Security Server also keeps a centralized audit trail on all remote activity, so any unauthorized action can be traced and dealt with.

Communicate Across Networks and Protocols
Netop Gateway provides access to closed networks through a single port of entry, so multiple technicians can access multiple devices at the same time.
Its job is to route Netop communication traffic between networks, while converting protocols – even those that are normally incompatible, like TCP and dial-up.
Gateway supports its own Terminal Service communication profile, and can even be used to route traffic inside a terminal or Citrix server, to or from the LAN. It can also bridge two networks that aren’t physically connected.
Netop Gateway readily handles traffic between many different Support Reps and Target Devices simultaneously. As a result, multiple sessions can take place on the same communication port and protocol, at the same time.
